Hi,
I cant seem to play the movies in Windows Media player. They download ok but when i try to play them it just crashes with that 'send /dont send' crash log.
Im using version 10 of it.... is there anything else i can do?

Which movie do you mean in particular or generally all?
Have you tried the .mpg or the .rm Versions?

... I just wanted to ask you the same question.

Well I'm wondering why your media player crashes. I've tried to use the most common compression options which provides the best quality. Hm... is the problem only with the newest video or also with the "older" one?

Its the garbagedump and miniskirt ones.. both of these in Windows Media just crash it.
I can however watch the Real Player ones with no trouble, so I guess its not a major problem....

Hm that's really strange! I'm amazed about the difference of the recent video and the older ones. I thought, I used the same preferences for compressions but I see it was the right dessicion to offer more that one type.

However I will look where the difference was!

For playing videos, I recommend VLC media player. It plays all formats, because it uses own codecs, if they are missing on your machine.

Hi everybody,

someone just told me about problems with the newer videos and the VLC Player. I can't verify this problem so it's maybe because of an older version. I can recommend as a good alternative the (K-Lite Mega Codec Pack) which is also a bundle of decoders and players.

People having Problems should download and install "ffdshow" (ffdshow_rev1625_20071119_clsid.exe) from www.x264.nl. Open the Configuration-Panel and activate "libavcodec" for VC1-Videos. If you want to use your standard codecs for all the other formats, deactivate them in this Panel.

Even though you need a good PC for Decoding those Hi-Res Videos ;D 2,4GHz minimum!?
