introduction videos for new series

I love this new series "Smoky Rubber Doll"! Another great piece of Susans and Normans artwork.

There is an introduction video attached as usual on newer series. But this time it is not presented in wmv (Windows media) or mov (Apple Quick Time) format. It is a flash video (.flv).

I doubt that fans will like this kind of format. It is not downloadable with a right button click usually. You need Downloadhelper or similar tools to download the video.
The current video is 68MB as flv file. Audio plays fine with VLC player on my MAC but not the video. I will try on windows.

PLEASE, Norman, change it back to the previous formats, at least for long term members! Is there any reason to change to this flash video format? It makes the download just a bit complicated!

The same with VLC on Windows, Audio works, Video not. 720p VC1 is definitely preferred

of course we still provide you the RM and WMV video formats! There was just a smaller mistake with uploading these huge files. Give me just some time

By the way the idea of the flash file and the integrated flash player is just for enjoying the video just in the moment on the website. It's not really the idea to download them also because the video is smaller than the rm/wmv files. We just thought it's a nice feature for someone who can't resist but the download of the real videos needs a lot time. But watching the flash video on the website works fine for you or do you also miss the audio or video stream?

The player on the website is working fine! And it's a nice idea, too. You can watch the Video while downloading the Hi Res Version

I really like your stuff on this website and i really enjoy everything you present, but i got one question (if you can't realize it, than it's ok). I always gotta wait for the flv to download until i can start downloading the wmv-file.
It is only becouse of the effect, that you gotta open the video-link before the wmv-download appears. Could you please change that?

Ich mag das Zeug auf eurer Website wirklich und habe spaß an allem was ihr präsentiert, aber ich habe eine Frage (wenn ihr es nicht realiesieren könnt, dann ist es in Ordnung). Ich muß immer warten bis die FLV herunter geladen ist, bevor ich die wmv herunter laden kann.
Alles nur, weil man erst den Video-Link öffnen muß, bevor der wmv-Download erscheint. Könntet ihr das bitte ändern?

Du mußt warten? Merkwürdig! Ich gehe auf die Videoseite und dann sofort auf den wmv oder rmvb download link. Dand wir das heruntergeladen und ich gehe dann sofort zurück um nicht die weiterhin das live video zu sehen um somit Bandbreite zu sparen für den Download.

@Shizo666: Das bei dir aber der Download erst nach dem abspielen des Flash-Videos funktioniert ist wirklich eigenartig. Ich hab jetzt mal den automatischen Start des Flash-Videos dekativiert. So kann man jetzt frei entscheiden, ob man das Video lieber herunterlädt oder auf der Webseite ansieht.

War bei mir genau das selbe. Erst nach dem Schließen des Galerie-Tabs startete der Video-Download, Stream und Download zusammen ging nicht. (FireFox 2.0)
